Island Nectar Shave Ice food truck in Portland is a family owned small business that has been around for over 15 years. Island Nectar is widely known as the best shave ice in the Pdx or Washington area. Owner and founder, Eric Heber, created Island Nectar Shave Ice food truck back in 2014. This company was created to provide a healthy treat to their 3 children. The owners wanted to get away from the dyes and chemicals found in the shelf brand syrups as their children were highly allergic. Creating something healthy and delicious dessert catering would become our passion for years to come! Eric's Hawaiian background would be the foundational pillar for his love of Shave Ice. Coming to the main land Portland Oregon would become the birthplace for Island Nectar Shave Ice. Eric would meet his co-owner and wife Deona during this time who too is of island background in the Caribbean. Eric created the most amazing fruit syrup flavors and introduced the Pdx area to them. The outpouring of love and want for the syrups and the flavors was astronomical! We went on to work with many well known companies such as Nike, Adobe, Intel, Columbia, and many many more just to name a few. Many companies have tried to duplicate this original recipe but trust us NOTHING is better than the original! After 15 years of being in business it's safe to say the original shave ice people are here to stay and continue to offer the BEST shave ice dessert catering available! Mahalo Plenty!
