meet eddie
Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Eddie worked as a toolmaker and played in countless bands but always dreamed of building a cheese steak house—even though he never got the chance. When he was planning a move to Oregon, a friend who had lived there in the 1990s suggested the idea of starting a food truck.
After moving to Beaverton, Oregon in early 2012, Eddie faced challenges that delayed his plans to start a cheese steak business. More than a decade later, in early 2023, a friend encouraged him to revisit his dream, sparking the launch of his food truck.
With a few years of experience under his belt, Eddie’s cheese steaks have received rave reviews from local food critics and customers alike. One customer remarked, "This is the closest you’ll get to Philly without leaving Oregon." His cheese steaks are considered the best in Oregon, and some say the Pacific Northwest. Plans to open a brick-and-mortar location are in the works, but still a ways off.
