Bryan’s journey to founding Beez Neez Gourmet Sausages started with a visit that changed everything. Originally from Anchorage, Alaska, Bryan came to Portland in September 2009 with no intentions beyond exploring the city. But one fateful day of sampling the local street food scene — ten different food carts in just a few hours — sparked an idea he couldn’t shake. Inspired by both the energy of Portland’s food cart culture and the rich, hearty sausages he had grown up enjoying in Alaska, Bryan realized there was a delicious gap in the market he could fill.
Just one month later, Beez Neez was up and running, serving Portlanders a unique variety of gourmet sausages rooted in his Alaskan heritage. From reindeer sausage to seitan-based vegan creations, Bryan brought a fresh perspective to Portland's food scene, focusing on bold, memorable flavors and top-quality ingredients. What began as a spontaneous visit quickly turned into a full-blown culinary mission — and Portland’s food lovers are all the better for it.
